OUL Ginsan Makiji Paring 80mm - Japanese Kitchen Knife is a very high quality finished and stylish knife. The blade of the knife is made of stainless Ginsa steel.
Ginsa steel has about 1% carbon and 13% chromium, so it is easy to sharpen, but also carefree to use. These features make it popular among professionals.
The sharpening of the knife is incredibly neat, it is a fine instrument. The handle is octagonal and stylishly made eh with a black rough-surfaced Urus lacquer surface treatment eh.
The blade is forged in Sakai by one of the few Ginsa steel forgers; Shogo Yamatsuka, a master craftsman certified by the Japanese government. The blade is chiseled, honed and finished by Maruoyama San Sakai. Representing quality we are very proud of.
